Root Canals
A root canal treatment is
required to treat infected tissues in the tooth. The tissue is
called pulp or nerve tissue. This tissue becomes infected and forms
a dental abscess when tooth decay is left untreated or as a result
of injury.
Root canal therapy
preserves the tooth by removing any diseased or dying
tissue.
Follow up treatments -
Crowns or Bridges - are done 3-6 months later to allow the tooth to
heal.
